Responsibilities :

To provide strategic direction and oversight for all aspects of the Risk Management and Sourcing (RMS) operations (commodity merchandising, formulation, logistics, value capture through the pricing process, and supply planning). This position manages the commodity risk position and makes strategic merchandising decisions on the commodities for the SEA business. The role ensures that the link between purchasing, formulation and pricing is consistently applied across the geography to capture differentiated value to the organization. This includes ensuring application of all proprietary tools related to the cost of goods sold responsibilities. Responsible and accountable for futures/options positions and performance.

EXECUTE SOURCING OF IMPORTED COMMODITIES, REGIONAL & LOCAL INGREDIENTS

  •  Develop and execute agricultural commodities strategy for regional business.
  •  Collaborate and align with Global HQ on key macro sourcing and is responsible for the execution of future/options in.
  •  Provide direction and guidance on local ingredients sourcing in SEA markets with local merchants.
  •  Provide direction and guidance on regional ingredients sourcing in SEA markets (fish oil/meal, MBM, packaging, micro-ingredients, etc.) with regional merchants.

EXECUTE VALUE CAPTURE STRATEGY

  •  Ensure application of all proprietary RMS tools in the business to capture value through pricing process.
  •  Provide direction and guidance for strategic and operational formulation capabilities
  •  Responsible for communicating and aligning value capture strategies with commercial and technology teams.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  •  Responsible for ensuring seamless link between sourcing, formulation and pricing processes and teams.
  •  Ensure cost accuracy of ingredients in a 30, 60, 90 day rolling forecast.
  •  Collaborate with other functions within the business to ensure there is alignment and synergy in achieving business goals.
  •  Supply and Demand planning: Provides strategic vision and direction to the monitoring and tracking of demand consumption verses contract, forecast and/or standard order lead-time

TALENT DEVELOPMENT

  •  Responsible for leading the RMS teams in the SEA region and ensuring that the organization structure is aligned in supporting the business goals of the region.
  •  Responsible for driving high performance among the RMS team and ensuring each member of the team has clear performance goals that is aligned to the business performance and growth agenda.
  •  Responsible for developing talent to include hiring, performance development and coaching to support the team.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8+ years of business management experience, preferably in the commodity trading business associated risk management roles
  • Trading experience as well as commodity risk management, including futures, options and cash markets for hedging purposes
  • Ability to form and manage local ingredient sourcing teams
  • Ability to solve complex problems by involving others.
  • Agility to quickly course correct in the face of changing regulations, market conditions or other interruptions in the business
  • Demonstrated strong capabilities and experience in leading and developing diverse teams across the region
  • Strong team player who is able to develop strong partnership with relevant functions to execute business goals. i.e Margin Management, Supply Chain, SMT, Commercial, Global Headquarters team
